In Bards of Bad Omens, a hostile election for power is ongoing between two political parties: the Eagle and the Bear.
Each player is one of 4 media channels that uses news and manipulation techniques to influence the people of the country to vote in favour of one of the two parties.

Bards of Bad Omens is a 2-4 player worker-placement strategy boardgame.
My role on this project was to deliver it from concept to gameplay completion. I conceptualised the project and worked on the mechanics, dynamics and aesthetics to make it playtest ready.
I playtested with an internal as well as external target audience to check if the game was engaging, balanced and fun. This lead to several rounds of iterations and refinements to the rules, game mechanics and components based on player feedback.
